About Me
Jarod Kintz, the American author, notes: “A window—it’s more entertaining than TV. Just ask a cat looking out, or a man looking in on a life he desires.” Windows allow us to engage with the lives of others. I gained an appreciation of windows when I lived in China. From my tenth floor unit, my floor-length living room window became my connection with the world. I watched pedestrians wrestling with traffic on the street. I watched neighbours tending to plants on their balconies. I joined the morning ritual of my neighbours by hanging clothes on bamboo poles outside the window. After I moved to a new apartment with small, poorly-placed windows, I understood the importance of window design in enhancing a living or working space. I started this blog to share ideas with others who have a passion for windows. I hope my scribblings arouse your interest.
